According to reports, Taika Waititi has been chosen to take on the role of director for the fifth “Thor” film

A new antagonist that is far more formidable than any that the thunder god has hitherto squared off against will appear in the most recent Thor movie

As the film is being created at the Studios, reports surfaced over the weekend claiming that Chris Hemsworth would don the thunder-wielding Marvel superhero costume.

According to reports, Taika Waititi, who previously helmed the last two Thor films, has been tapped to helm the fifth one as well.

Waititi discussed the probable MCU future of Thor in an interview with ScreenRant.

What else can I do to him? It must be something that feels like it’s continuing the character’s development while still being incredibly entertaining and providing him with challenges that feel like they are adding to the difficulties he must conquer, according to Waititi.

We can’t possibly have a villain that is weaker than Hela, in my opinion. We should advance from that point on and introduce a villain who is somehow stronger.

The Asgardian goddess of death, Hela, who was portrayed by Cate Blanchett in the 2017 film Thor: Ragnorak, overthrew Thor’s hammer Mjölnir and captured Asgard.

According to Waititi, he intends to pit Thor against “more and more outlandish and crazy beasts, monsters, and aliens.”

Although Thor 5 hasn’t been announced, Waititi already seems to have a lot of ideas in place if the project goes through.

Additionally, Hemsworth stated in June that his comeback as the title character is still in the works.
