A woman from Assam was allegedly physically assaulted by an inebriated youth at a hotel in the nation’s capital in a horrifying event, according to allegations that surfaced on Sunday.
At around 10 p.m. on Saturday, the accused knocked on the victim’s door of her room at the Karan Palace Guest House in New Friends Colony while intoxicated and requested that she open the door. He forced through the door after the victim declined to answer it and went inside her room. He then started physically abusing and assaulting her.
Following the event, the woman reported the culprit, Navin Kumar Singh, to the neighborhood police station. He was held by the police as a result of the complaint.
The victim told the media, “Yesterday between 9:45 and 10 o’clock I was getting ready for bed when I heard someone violently knocking on my door. He commanded me to open the door right away, which made me a little uneasy. He busted down the door and entered since I didn’t open it. He entered my room and immediately began to scream at me and hit me. I managed to get away from him somehow, and I told the proprietor of the hotel where I was staying—his father—about everything. He requested that I report the incident to the police right away.
When the cops arrived, they took her to get checked out, she continued.
