About Rs 10,000 crore was squandered on road repairs and restarting water projects. The process will take a year to complete. Director of the Shimla Meteorological Department Surendra Paul told the news agency PTI that the amount of rain that Himachal got in July of this year eclipsed all previous records going back fifty years.
